Based in Forest Park, Illinois, Kafka Manufacturing is a leader in the elevator industry and continues to expand. Kafka Manufacturing Co. designs and manufactures sheet metal work and structural metal fabrication for elevator cabs. From UL-rated dumbwaiter hoistway doors, to upscale passenger cabs, to repairing or rebuilding decade old equipment, Kafka does it all.

To handle this diverse workload, Kafka uses SolidWorks 3D CAD to design and manufacture their elevator cabs. Having previously been using CAD Key 2D and 3D Wire Framing, Kafka found that they were spending valuable time making multiple drawings.

With SolidWorks, Kafka is able to make fewer drawings and reduce unwanted data which reduces errors and in turn saves Kafka time and money. Production is now set-up in one day, rather than weeks using the previous 2D CAD system.

Kafka Manufacturing Co. uses authorized SolidWorks reseller Graphics Systems Corp. for ongoing software training, implementation, and support.
