For nearly 30 years, Adaptive Micro Systems LLC has designed, developed and manufactured digital displays and software solutions. Their display systems are everywhere: manufacturing plants, transportation/highways, commercial and retail stores, restaurants, billboards, theaters, schools, and gaming and lottery.

Although Adaptive Micro Systems is a leader in the LED display industry, manufacturing numerous sizes of LED displays which can be seen in such places as Wall Street, movie theatesr, airports, and even gas stations, the company needed to start designing in 3D to remain competitive.

In 1998 Adaptive Micro Systems evaluated SolidWorks software, Mechanical Desktop, and a few other CAD package. SolidWorks is the only program that can accurately and realistically create the company's plastic end-cap designs. Making the decision was simple because SolidWorks provides the shortest learning curve and the best software.

The results the company has attained from using SolidWorks are astounding. Adaptive Micro Systems finds that SolidWorks shortens design cycles by 50 percent, lowers development costs by 25 percent, and reduces rework by 35 percent. "In the past year, we have introduced two new product lines thanks to the configuration of assemblies," Scott Andrzejewski, Associate Engineer, explains.
