request files in order to further investigate an issue.
We ask that you e-mail files directly to your support
contact. Please call before sending files so we know
to look for them.

Important Information
You Should Know: In order to get
a good handle on a particular issue, technical
support personnel
will typically ask questions about your system. You
should know what kind of processor you have,
how much
RAM you have, the size of your swap file, what kind
of graphics card you have, and the operating
system
you are using (including service pack level). You should
also know the date code of SolidWorks you are
running (found under “Help… About
SolidWorks”) and any add-ins (PhotoWorks,
COSMOSWorks, Working Model, etc.) you have loaded.
Know Your Plan:
There are several technical support plans available.
Know which plan your company has purchased. A document
outlining your plan will be given to you when you receive
your seats of SolidWorks. Check with the representative
who purchased the software to find this document if
you don’t have it.
